The 7th Annual Marine Heritage Festival: July 28th-30th

The 7th Annual Marine Heritage Festival is this Weekend in Southampton’s Pioneer Park.

Some Festival highlights include:

Friday, July 28th:
The event kicks off with the Grand Opening of the Rotary Splash Pad at Jubilee Park in Southampton, and is followed by an evening of entertainment for the whole family at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre.

The Southampton Bia Bike Val -eh, in collaboration with Martins Bicycle Shop, will be running Friday evening at the Bruce County Museum.

Saturday, July 29th:
The highlight of Saturday’s festivities is the 6th Annual Cardboard Boat Race, but there are plenty of activities for both kids and adults alike from the Capt. Wayne Sparrow’s Gold Hunt to live musical entertainment at the harbour.

And Walk Store to Shore for the Marine Mania Sidewalk Sale to discover everything Southampton has to offer. Sale runs during regular store hours on High Street.

The Southampton Bia Bike Val -eh, in collaboration with Martins Bicycle Shop, will be running Saturday at Pioneer Park for the cardboard boat races, treasure hunt and the fish fry/music evening.

Sunday, July 30th:
Sunday wraps up the event with the 2nd Annual War on the Shore Criterium Road Race. Register or watch an event that accommodates everyone from a UCI Professional to the recreational enthusiast by offering a variety of categories.


Flag Quest:
This Weekend is also the last chance to participate in the 3rd Annual Flag Quest scavenger hunt throughout Southampton. Players have until 4pm on Sunday, July 30th to complete and submit their Game Cards.

Pick one up at any participating Southampton Business or at the Tourism Office. Winners will be announced on Monday, July 31st. 3 prize packs totalling over $1,000 in gift cards and merchandise from our generous sponsors is available to be won.
